Our work

Practical help matters.

Our programs are being designed around nutrition, community, education, and self-reliance.

Food Access

Partner with food banks, food pantries, and other community organizations to help increase access to nourishing food. Our goal is to complement the important work already being done—bringing additional food, resources, and practical support to the communities they serve.

Nutrition Education

Make nutrition practical. Through cooking demonstrations, food education, and community programs, we help people better understand the food they eat and how to prepare it. We also develop continuing education for professionals who work directly with individuals and families.

Community Support

Build programs with communities, not simply for them. We work alongside local organizations and professionals who already know the people they serve, listen to what is needed, and develop programs that can work in everyday life.

Start small. Learn. Improve.

1977 Foundation is intentionally starting with pilot-sized programs. The goal is to learn what is useful, what is sustainable, and what can responsibly grow.
